Hello, my name is Karen Tait and I am the Operations and Compliance Manager for Care Staffing Ltd.
I have worked in the caring profession for over 30 years after being trained in Rugby’s Hospital of St Cross as a Health Care Assistant, before moving to the private sector.
I later became a Registered Care Manager for more than 20 years,
managing a total of 8 different Nursing and Residential Care Homes, in and around Rugby. I later became an Operations Manager overseeing a total of 9 Care Homes, both here in Rugby and also in Dorset and Wiltshire.
I have a proven record of management and “hands-on” care skills and have a personal philosophy of care which demands that Service Users receive the same care, love and respect that members of our own family would expect; believing strongly that without these three basic values, people who are in care or who are being cared for at home, cannot have the quality of life to which they are entitled.
I have attended many training courses over the years that I have been working in the caring profession, my two highest qualifications accomplished being:
I have a bright and friendly personality with courteous telephone/verbal skills which makes me very approachable.
I am a passionate professional with a strong commitment to delivering quality care and leading teams in the health and social care sector. With an MSc in Management and an MSc in Physics, along with years of experience in client relations, administration, and care services, I bring a balanced and thoughtful approach to my role as Manager at Care Staffing Domiciliary Care. My goal is to ensure that every person receiving our services feels cared for in a compassionate, reliable, and personalized way.
I believe in leading with empathy, building strong teams, and running things efficiently to improve the quality of life for those we support. It’s important to me that we meet the highest standards of care, not just for our clients, but also for their families, who trust us to provide the best care possible.
My vision is to create an environment where care is delivered with dignity, respect, and professionalism. I want to build a culture of trust within our team and with our clients, where everyone feels valued and supported. In the long run, I hope to help Care Staffing Domiciliary Care become a leader in the industry, known for our commitment to excellence and compassion.
Throughout my career, I’ve been recognized for my dedication, including being awarded Employee of the Month at Butlers Mews Care Home in June 2024. Having worked in various roles, from care assistant to receptionist, I have gained a deep understanding of both the emotional and operational sides of care. In my previous role as a Client Account Manager at Vets Star Pharmaceuticals in India, I successfully managed client relationships, ensuring their needs were always met.
My strengths in leadership, communication, and problem-solving have helped me earn trust and respect in the industry. I’m also skilled in team management, building positive client relationships, and making sure everything runs smoothly. My technical skills in office automation, programming, and various operating systems help me streamline processes, making the organization more efficient and client-focused.
At the heart of it all, I’m driven by my passion for care and leadership, and I’m excited to help shape the future of Care Staffing Domiciliary Care by delivering exceptional services, building trust, and making a positive difference in the community.
